Practice Focus
Chris works with companies of all sizes on a broad array of business-related legal issues, including the purchase and sale of businesses, raising capital, regulatory compliance, entity formation and reorganizations, and corporate governance. He also assists business owners on matters of ownership and succession planning. He regularly helps shareholders develop and implement shareholder agreements, equity incentive plans and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). In addition, Chris works with a team of attorneys at Sheehan Phinney on a range of energy-related issues, including negotiating electricity and gas contracts and developing alternative energy projects.
- Represented the owner of a New Hampshire-based subscription services company in negotiating the buy-out of the company's stock by a foreign competitor.
- Assisted in the formation and registration of a federally registered investment advisory firm with more than $30 million currently under management.

- Represented various businesses in implementing employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), including leveraged ESOPs, and in utilizing the ESOP structure to orchestrate the buy-out of senior shareholders.
- Represented a privately held healthcare technology company in structuring and implementing its merger with the subsidiary of a publicly held insurance company.
- Assisted in the sale of the assets of four concrete facilities with significant real estate holdings to the subsidiary of an international concrete company.

Honors
While in law school Chris served on the Editorial Board of the Cornell Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif. He received a number of CALI student excellence awards for his work in various classes and was the recipient of a Cornell merit scholarship.
Memberships and Admissions
Chris is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association. He serves on the firm’s Merrimack Valley Marketing Committee.
Community Involvement
Chris is a member of the Board of Trustees of the New Hampshire Symphony Orchestra and serves on the board of the Cornell Club of New Hampshire. Chris also serves as a community investment volunteer for Heritage United Way in Manchester.
