The emphasis will be on acquainting attendees with issues that require special consideration, with entry-level rather than in-depth analysis of these issues. Topics considered will include: international product distribution, and the effect of the UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; import and export control and licensing; embargoes and blacklists; the Patriot Act; financing of international ventures and projects; selecting and working with foreign counsel; and finding legal resources to support ex-US client activities.
