Cheney of Bow, a shareholder with the firm, has been named one of the Best Lawyers in America by Woodward/White, a national research firm. Cheney is one of 23 SPB+G attorneys to be honored for their outstanding work and distinguished reputations. Cheney was named to the list for his environmental law practice. Nearly half of the firm's 49 attorneys in New Hampshire made the 2007 list.
Since coming to Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green, Cheney's practice has focused on regulatory matters, primarily relating to environmental, governmental affairs, international and HIPAA regulation and compliance. He has been a member of Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green since 1992. Before that, Cheney served from 1981 to 1992 in the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office. During his tenure, he worked in the Attorney General's Environmental Bureau and was chief of the Environmental Bureau from 1984 to 1988.
Cheney is a 1974 graduate from Cornell University and graduated from the University of San Diego Law School in 1980.
