(June 12, 2006. Boston, MA) - Maria E. Recalde, a shareholder at Sheehan Phinney Bass + Green PA, was elected by the South Shore Women's Business Network as its 2006-2007 President.
For 15 years, the SSWBN has been providing opportunities for professionals in the South Shore to grow their businesses through networking and professional development. Maria is an active member and firm supporter of the Network. Before becoming its President, she served on the SSWBN's Board of Directors and on the Professional Development Team. She has often contributed to SSWBN-sponsored workshops and seminars addressing legal and business issues.

Beyond her work with SSWBN, Maria has been active in numerous community organizations. She is a former member of the International Institute of Boston/International Institute of New Hampshire's Board of Directors. She is a current member of the Advisory Board for the Boston Chapter of the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. She is a former Trustee of the Boston Bar Foundation, has chaired the Boston Bar Journal's Board of Editors and served on the council of the Boston Bar Association. She also chaired the Internet/e-commerce committee of the Hispanic National Bar Association.
Maria's practice concentrates on the rapidly changing areas of technology and intellectual property litigation, transactions and counseling. She also provides general business and strategic counseling on the wide range of issues facing small businesses and emerging companies today.
